How to rent a band instrument
Getting Ready for Band in Methacton School District
Option 1: Renting an instrument from Taylor's Music Store:
Complete the instrument rental process one of two ways:
1. Go to www.taylorsmusic.com and complete the rental form online.
*Please make sure to include the “S”. There is a Taylor Music Store in another state that would be happy to rent you an instrument, but they won’t deliver it to our schools.
2. You must purchase a lesson book (see below)
3. Go to the store, fill out the rental form and walk out the door with your instrument rental on the same day. Taylor’s Music is located at 116 West Gay Street, West Chester, PA 19380. Phone number is 610-696-1812.
If you have any questions about the rental process, PLEASE contact Taylor’s Music Store at 610-696-1812 as they handle all the details associated with the rental.
Option 2: Using an instrument you already own (or are purchasing - please see our instrument purchasing advise page):
1. Make sure the instrument is in playing condition. If you are not sure, ask me what to do.
Please have this step done by the start of the school year.
2. You must purchase a lesson book (see below)
3. Email me to let me know you already have an instrument or are purchasing
4. If you are considering buying an instrument vs. renting please see the"Instrument Purchase
Advice" link in this email
Option 3: Renting an instrument from a company other than Taylor’s Music:
1. Please order the instrument prior to the start of the school year.
